Hi, I'm going to talk about one of the nominees for world press photo of the year named "Akashinga, the brave ones", that won the second place in the 2019 photo contest. The photo was taken by Brent Stirton. He is a photographer and regular contributor to National Geographic magazine. The photo shows a woman called Petronella Chigumbura, a member of the revolutionary unit called Akashinga. This group is a ranger force rooted as an "alternative conservation model". Akashinga received women that are coming from violent or disadvantaged contexts, so to empowering them, this group offer jobs and activities. Also, and not less important, Akashinga comprises helping local people to fight to the preservation of wildlife.  This photo was taken in 2018, 20th June, in Phundundu Wildlife Park (Zimbabwe). Honestly I wanted to talk about "Osmosis" or "Black mirror" but I think everyone are gonna to talk about this series, so to recommend and offer you more options to watch, I choose "The sinner". My favourite piece of technology

A few years ago, I rarely used technology to enjoy my free time or use that as a tool of work. The idea of live everyday attached to cellphone or using applications all the time was a not good idea to me, because I wanted to live a life without the dependence to a objects or things that distract me of the real problems or the things that are important. But with the time, the stress and laziness become more, so I fall not completely, but largely in the dependence of technology; specifically, the TV. I should say that my favorite piece of technology is computer/laptop/notebook, but I choose TV, because I use laptops to watch series, movies most of the time, things that are more functions of the television. When I was 6 years old, my family got our first TV. Some uncle gave us this TV, that seems to be as a little box, where we could see 2 channels. In contrast, today we have a "modern" TV; a plasma.
